New Job (continued)

By a stroke of luck after only 15 months with Foxboro, American Can was hiring again in my old office and they offered me a big raise in salary. I was suddenly back at my original job working with the same group of people. What more could I ask? It was a great turn of events.

It was too good to be true and to last forever. After another year, American Can decided to close our engineering office in Neenah, Wisconsin and move it to Fairlawn, New Jersey. Many of us were offered jobs at this new location, including my boss, and several others. There was a mad scramble looking for new jobs for many of the people who had lived and worked in the same location most of their lives. My boss, and one other guy in our department decided to accept the opportunity and so did we.
